The rules and regulations regarding travelling with carry-on luggage are constantly changing. To make your flight as smooth and enjoyable as possible, we recommend knowing them and keeping them in mind throughout all phases of your flight, from check-in to landing at your destination. Here are some tips, advice, and links to more information.
Rules regarding liquids, gels, and aerosols in carry-on luggage
-
All containers of liquid, gel, or aerosol must be 3 oz. or smaller. Larger containers will not be allowed, even if they are not full. Rolled up toothpaste or other gel containers will not be allowed.
-
Containers of liquid, gel, or aerosol must be in a clear, quart-sized, zip-top plastic bag. Each passenger is allowed one bag. Larger bags, or bags with no zip-top, will not be allowed.
-
Each passenger’s clear plastic bag must be removed and placed on the x-ray scanner for screening.
-
Items that do not meet these guidelines must be placed in checked luggage.
-
Any liquid, gel or aerosol, such as coffee or soda, purchased in the secure area beyond the security checkpoint is allowed aboard your plane. Please note that if you have a layover and are re-screened at your connecting airport the current rules for a carry-on applies.
